Dog Training & Handler Instruction
Our Instructors have many years experience within their K9 disciplines. The majority of our instructors and trainers were trained and deployed in high-risk theatres such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Northern Ireland, and Bosnia. These experiences allow us to instruct and pass on knowledge on many aspects that are crucial to safe handling techniques for the dog handlers and those working alongside the dog handlers. These include search procedures, current delivery methods and anti-handling devices, to mention just a few.
Please note that to successfully deploy with an operational Sniffer / Bomb / AES / Explosive detection dog takes more than a dog that has been programmed to react in a given way upon scent recognition. We have seen many people with dogs from other companies in high-risk theatres such as Iraq and Afghanistan that obviously have had no or very little training and the training which had been provided to them was of a very poor standard. This is extremely dangerous for all persons within the vicinity and reduces confidence in reputable companies such as Top Dog Security Ltd, as many will think that that is how dogs operate when in fact they should not.
Top Dog Security Ltd. supply and train dogs for the Police and Security Services in the United Kingdom and abroad. The known pedigree of our dogs and excellent training techniques mean that the right dogs are always used for the right task, whether it is General Purpose Policing and protection of premises or narcotics and explosive searches. We are based in the outskirts of North-East London in our own magnificent kennel complex and training grounds, set within 3 acres and able to house 120 dogs.
