Steve Rowe, Chief Trainer

Stephen Rowe is a member of staff who has recently completed 32 years service with a Midlands Police Force. He has been associated with working dogs as an operational handler since 1988 and became an ACPO accredited Explosives search dog instructor in 1997 working at a regional dog school where he gained further accreditation as a General Purpose and Narcotics/Firearms/Cash detection instructor. He was instrumental in the setting up of dual trained passive/proactive search dogs for both drug and explosives screening/searching.

More recently he has been involved in the setting up and training of a four dog team of Cadaver/Blood detection dogs within the Midlands region supplying service to numerous other Forces throughout the country. He has gained accreditation via Canterbury/Christchurch College at DTTLS (formerly Cert Ed) and also qualifications in Equality and Diversity.

He has regularly been requested to assess and licence dog teams throughout the UK and Isle of Man for a number of forces.

Stephen has judged at ACPO regional dog trials and taken part and assisted at National Police Dog trials.

He is an official NASDU Trainer.

In March and October 2005 Stephen travelled to South Korea with Samsung Corp.and was responsible for the Explosive search dog training of Staff and 6 Korean Police Officers in preparation for a worldwide conference that was held in Busan.
